2014年11月9日，“外研社杯”全国大学生英语演讲大赛福建赛区于华侨大学集美校区举行。来自全省各大高校67位选手参加，我校文法学院2014级英语专业蔡君韬同学代表我校参赛，他以自然的演讲形式、良好的反应及思维能力摘得桂冠，最终获得“外研社杯”全国大学生英语演讲大赛的通行证，成为我校第一位晋级国赛的学生。
