教学设计题
设计任务:根据所提供的信息和材料完成一节课的教学设计。
(1)材料来源:人教版《新目标英语》八年级下册第六单元阅读部分。
(2)设计要点:教学目标,教学过程和板书设计。
(3)教学时间:45分钟
(4)学生概况:某镇普通中学八年级学生,班级人数40,多数学生接近《义务教育英语课程标准》(2011年版)分级目标四级水平,学生参与的积极性一般,有合作意识。

Teaching Plan
Ⅰ. Teaching objective:
After this period of teaching, students are expected to
l Enhance the usage of Present Perfect Continuous Tense, master new words: dynasty, character, capital.
l Read more traditional Chinese works, students will be willing and able to introduce Chinese history using target language.
l Through some stories about foreign history, students' horizons will be broaden.
Ⅱ. Teaching produce:
Warm up:
l Have a dictation of the new words and expressions studied in the last class.
l Review the main sentences and grammar in the last class.
l Let Ss act out the
conversation learned in the last class in groups.
(Review the knowledge of last class and check every student's learning progress and mastery degree)
Pre-reading:
l Brainstorm Chinese history, and discuss the following questions:
A. How many Chinese dynasties can you think of?
B. How many famous characters from Chinese history can you think of? Make a list.
C. Can you think of famous characters from the history of other countries? Make a list.
l After ten minutes, ask a speaker from each group to tell the class what the group knows.
l After Ss has finished, help to complete any missing dynasties and important characters the class should know.
(Raise Ss' interests in history and develop Ss thinking capacities and teamwork)
While-reading:
l Ask Ss.to scan the passage once for general meaning.
l For the second reading, make a mind map of Leo. Then let students read each paragraph and summary main idea.
l Read the whole passage carefully and mark out the new words and phases, ask Ss if there is any sentence that they don't understand. If they understand it better and complete the sentences below.
A. Leo has been teaching in China for_____.
B. Some of the old buildings in Harbin are_____.
C. The _____ welcomed the first Jews to China.
D. In Australia, students usually study _____ and _____ history.

Post-reading:
l Retell: Introduce history using what is learned in the passage.
l Discussion: What are your favourite Chinese dynasties and important characters and the reasons.
(Cultivate the Ss' discourse analysis ability and grasp the content of the passage. and their oral speaking abilities will be improved.)
Summary:
Review the new words and phrase in the passage and confirm the objectives are obtained.

Homework:
Write a composition about the history of Tang Dynasty, and show it in next class.
