 　　44.belief，confidence ，credit，faith ，reliance 这组词都有 “相信”之意。

　　belief：“相信”，词义较广，指对某事物在思想上认同或接受其真实性，至于确凿的证据可有可无，并不影响这种相信。

　　There is nothing more natural than a child's belief in his parents.没有任何事情比一个孩子对其父母的信赖更为自然了。

　　confidence：“信心、自信、信念、信任”，指对自己或自己的能力非常自信，也指基于经验而对事物有把握;还指人与人之间能推心置腹的信任。一般这些信任都是有一定证据基础。

　　He has won the confidence of the people， who continue to elect him.他得到了人民的信任，他们继续选举他。

　　credit：“相信、信誉”，信任的含义较弱，是特指由于某人具有令人信服的名望。

　　If you cannot ensure prompt delivery，it will affect the credit of your store.如果你不能保证迅速交货，就会影响你们商店的信誉。

　　faith：“信任、信仰、信念” 指有充分确凿的证据或充足的理由而相信。常用词组：have faith in 对……有信心。

　　reliance：“信任、信赖、依靠”，不仅指心理或感觉上的信任，而且也指在行动上客观表现出来的信赖乃至依靠。常用词组：put/place reliance on/in sb's promises 信赖某人的诺言;self-reliance 自力更生。
