　　assembly ：“聚会” 不可数;“会议” 可数，较为正式，专指多人的集会或按计划为某一目标而召开的会议，以进行商议，集体行动或宗教活动。

　　In some countries the right of assemble in public is not allowed for everybody. 在某些国家，不是每个人都有参加公开集会的权利。

　　conference：“会议、讨论会、协商会”，指为了研究专门问题交换观点、意见而召开的专业性集会或定期的会议。词组：at conference with sb.与其他人商谈。
