Lighting System

     The lighting system of a motor vehicle consists of lighting and signaling devicesmounted or integrated to the front，sides and rear of the vehicle. The purpose of thissystem is to provide illumination for the driver to operate the vehicle safely after dark, toincrease the conspicuity of the vehicle，and to display information about the vehicle'spresence，position, size, direction of travel and intended travel and brake status.

    The lighting system consists of the components (fuses，wires，switches, and relays)that operate the interior and exterior lights on a vehicle. The exterior lights typicallyinclude the headlights，turn signal lights，stoplights，parking lights，backup lights andside marker lights. The interior lights normally include the dome light, instrument lightsin the dash,  trunk light,  and other courtesy lights.  The exact circuit and partconfigurations will vary with each structure and model of vehicle.
