 Almost every system in a modern vehicle uses some type of electric orelectronic component. Electronic ignition, electronic fuel injection, computerized engine management systems，air bag systems，collision avoidance system, anti-lock brakes，and other advanced systems require technicians skilled in electricity and electronics.

    Four basic sub-systems are included in electric system：ignition system，charging system，starting system and lighting system.
