    1) Define the major parts of a starting system and charging system.

 

    2) Identify the main function of ignition system, and the three features of different types of ignition systems.

    2. Translate the following sentences into Chinese

 

    1) This position of the ignition switch is spring loaded so that the starter is notengaged while the engine is running. This position is used momentarily, just to activatethe starter.

 

    2) If you find that you have to move the shifter away from park or neutral to get the car to start, it usually means that this switch needs adjustment.  If your car has an automatic parking brake release，the neutral safety switch will control that function also.

 

    3) Some have a smaller wire soldered to the terminal which is used to either operate asmaller device or to provide an additional ground.

 

    4) Foglamps provide a wide, bar-shaped beam of light with a sharp cutoff at the top,and are generally aimed and mounted low.

 

    5) They are required to produce only red light，and to be wired such that they are lit whenever the front position lamps are illuminated, including when the headlamps are on.

 

    6) This function is meant to be used to indicate a hazard such as a vehicle stopped in or alongside moving traffic, a disabled vehicle，or an exceptionally slow-moving vehicle
