Following the academic calendar of our school, we usually grant scholarship and honor certificates to students with merit excellence during the end of every semester. I could always see Yawen’s name on the honor list then. To my knowledge, she has been among the top ten of her grade of 90 students in overall academic performance. There is no doubt that she has accumulated solid foundation in her specialty, preparing well for further study in graduate period.

I observe that besides commitment to academic study, Yawen is also active in school activities. She is talented in singing and is able to play instruments like piano and violin very well. In case of entertainment activities in the department, she will definitely take a leading role in the organization of the event and demonstrate her personal appeal on the stage as well. As far as I know, she has been taking essential positions in several student unions also. Spending much spare time on organizing diverse community activities like aerobics contest, public etiquette competition and the chorus performance, she definitely enjoyed a vibrant campus life and acquired considerable organization and management expertise. Faculty of the department all appreciate Yawen’s gift and we do regard her as an all-round competent student.
