一、词汇知识

     ①核心词的考查特征：词义单一、需记忆背诵、常出现于阅读/完型等题型。如2019：While he obviously had an abundance of natural talent, the final, polished work that he gave to the world was the result of years of practising, re-writing and reading.——obviously（显而易见地）   abundance（丰富）

    ②基础词的考查特征：一词多义、熟词僻义；不断积累

如：Gates chooses nonfiction titles because they explain how the world works.（v.运转，运行）；the final, polished work that he gave to the world（n.作品）；learning lessons for the future about what works and what doesn’t.（v.起作用）

二、语法知识

①短语（做定语和状语）——介词短语、分词短语、不定式短语

修饰名词——作定语：people from developing countries（来自发展中国家的人们）

修饰动词——作状语

wake up in the middle of the night （半夜醒来，时间状语）

worked in their hospitals（在他们的医院工作，地点状语）

总结：做翻译题时，要识别短语，并完整翻译短语

②从句——定语从句、状语从句、宾语从句

They fear that it hurts their economies, depriving them of much-needed skilled workers who could have taught at their universities.

that从句—宾语从句；who从句—定语从句

And afterwards, when we come to think back on it, we can’t remember the journey well because we didn’t pay much attention to it.
