We can deduce from this picture that the author is trying to attract our attention to the present problem of the city's living conditions. With the development of modern industry, more and more people are streaming into cities. So, the space in big cities is becoming smaller and smaller, and the buildings are becoming higher and higher, making the cities' living surroundings worse and worse. The people in cities are longing for the improvement of the situation.

To improve the situation, I suggest the following measures be taken immediately. Firstly, the city planners should come up with a comprehensive development scheme so that enough space can be left to the later projects. Secondly, the ratio of green land has to be largely increased to raise the quality of air and water. Finally, more buildings should be built in suburbs of cities to attract more people to buy houses there. In this way, more cities will become comfortable places for residents or visitors.
