Good morning/afternoon, everyone! It’s my great honor to stand here to interpret my lesson. Today, my topic is about a letter-writing part. My lesson consists of the following aspects, such as analysis of the teaching material, analysis of students, teaching aims and so on. Now I will show them one by one.
Ⅰ. Analysis of the teaching material
Firstly, let me introduce the teaching material. It’s about a letter of junior students. The writing part of letter is very important for students. According to the letter, students can understand the form of letter, and learn how to write a letter.
Ⅱ. Analysis of the students
Secondly, I will talk about the students. Although junior students have certain foundation of English with reading /speaking/listening and writing abilities, they still need more chances to practice and express their opinion, particularly the more difficult part —writing part.
Ⅲ. Analysis of the teaching aims
Thirdly, I’d like to introduce the teaching aims. They cover three aims, I will introduce them one by one:
1. Knowledge aims:
According to the letter, students learn to express the completed passages and understand the writing logic.
2.Ability aims:
By the end of this class, students can write coherent and complete passages, narrate affairs and express opinions.
3.Emotion aims:
Students can form a good habit of writing the short dairy in English.
Ⅳ. Analysis of the key and difficult points
Fourthly, it is the key and difficult points.
1.Key points:
Master the writing methods and improve the writing ability.
2.Difficult points:
Teach the students how to get the key words and how to use effective sentences to complete a coherent composition.
Ⅴ. Analysis of teaching and study methods
Fifthly, I’ll try to use the following theories to make students to be the real master of the class while the teacher myself the director. To let students have the further understanding of letter, I will use Imitation and innovation, audio-visual and task-based teaching method.
For study methods, self-dependent and cooperative learning will be applied. Someone says ‘Practice makes perfect’, by the end of practices, students will be a good self-learners.
Ⅵ. Analysis of the teaching procedures
Next, let’s move to the most important teaching procedures.
Step 1.Greeting and lead in
It’s greeting and lead in .I will greet to students as usual. And to form a brainstorm and inspire students to think in class, I will give them two questions on screen, such as the follows:
Q1: How many ways to connect with your friends?
Q2: Would you like to write to your friends?
Step2. Pre-writing
We all know pre-writing is very important for a writing part of this letter, I will show this as the following:
(1)Brainstorm:
To let students make the further understanding of the form letter, I will show the letter on the screen.
(2)Discussion:
And then give some questions to discuss, such as:
Q1: What are the differences among the form of letter and the passages?
Q2: How many people are here and who is the writer?
Q3: How many new words and phrases in the letter?
Q4: How to write a completed letter and understand the writing logic?
Step3. While-writing
Based on the scanning of the form letter and the question, students will have certain understanding of letter. Meanwhile, I will encourage them to understand how to write a letter and sum up the procedures with students.
1).Planning the form and structure of the letter.
2).Outlining of a letter.
3).Drafting.
4).Organizing language (sentence imitation and modification).
5).Improve coherence.
6).Editing and revising.
7).Using correct punctuations and letter forms.
Step4. Post-writing
According to the procedures of letter above, I will make students know that writing a letter is not so easy. It’s not ending for letters that just write it over, we should have the following to correct it, such as:
1).Revise and polish the writing by themselves or with peers.
2).Check ranging from word spelling, punctuation to sentence structure and paragraph structure, etc.
Step5. Summary and homework
To let students understand what we have learned, I will let them have summary and give homework to practice it .For example:
Summary: pay more attention to write a letter.
Homework: write a clear reply letter to Tom.
Ⅶ. Analysis of the blackboard Design
To let students understand the teaching contents clearly, I will show my blackboard design like this.

VIII. Teaching reflection
