 在英语短文写作中，运用高级词汇、短语和复杂结构，不但能生动、准确地表达内容，还能体现作者的语言功底。所以，一篇高考短文写作有打动阅卷老师的"闪光点"，才有获得高分的机会。以2012年高考为例，我们来学习一下短文写作的十大高分策略。 
　　一、使用高级词汇及最佳搭配，使文章表达生动形象。 
　　1. Whenever I had difficulties， they were always available. （湖南卷） 
　　2. Soon， I became one of the top students in my class， which greatly increased my confidence and got me motivated. （湖南卷） 
　　3. I could not help sobbing at that moment. （湖南卷）

　　二、使用同位语、介词短语、短语介词及with复合结构，使句子更加精炼。
