The fourth China-Korea technological exhibition and negotiation

　From March 14th-15th, the fourth China-Korea technology exhibition and negotiation, co-sponsored by MOFCOM and Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy of Korea, was successfully held in Korea. Nearly 100 high-tech products were shown on the exhibition, concerning electronic information, Aviation and Aerospace、Bio-medical、energy-saving and environment protection technology、machinery etc.

　　It was a success. The contractual value was US$ 169.5 billion, of which Guangdong Zhanjiang Household Electric Appliances Industrial Co., Ltd. signed the US$ 10 million export and cooperation contract with Korean ESCO company; and Qinghai Newway Environment Sanitang Equipment Manufacturing Co,.Ltd and E.A.Tech signed the contract on the kitchen rubbish processing equipment with a value of 6.7 million. Intended transactions reached US $ 165 million

　　The exhibition is held against the background of faster exchanges and cooperation between China and Korea. Since the establishment of diplomatic relationship, bilateral trade between China and Korea had maintained the rapid growth between 20% and 30%.

　　In 2005, bilateral trade reached US$ 111.9 billion with an increase of 24.3%. reaching the target of US$ 100 billion set for 2008. Now, the Korea has become the sixth trading partner of China; Imports and exports of High-tech products between China and Korea has reached US$ 32.9 billion, up by 36.6%; which made Korea the seventh high-tech trading partner of China in high-tech, China has introduced 617 technologies from Korea, which was the fourth technological resource of China's imports, with contractual value of US$ 900 million,

　　It is predicted that the bilateral trade between China and Korea will realize US$ 2000 in 2012, the twenty anniversary of establishing the diplomatic relations, of which the trade value of high-tech products will exceed US$ 70 billion.
