Meeting for Cooperation of Timber Processing Between China and Russia

In order to implement the spirit of the 10th regular meeting between Chinese and Russian premiers, and to further expand and deepen the cooperation in forest industry between China and Russia, the Ministry of Commerce held the Matchmaking Meeting for Cooperation of Timber Processing Between China and Russia together with State Forestry Administration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, All-China Federation Of Industry & Commerce and China Development Bank in Beijing on March 8.

　　Vice Minister Yu Guangzhou attended the Meeting and gave a speech, he introduced the important significance of State Forestry Administration to the promotion of China-Russia trade and economic relations and realization of mutual development, summarized the development status of China-Russia cooperation in forest industry, and pointed out measures to push forward the development of timber processing in Russia. He hoped that domestic enterprises could transform the concept, seize opportunities, walk united way and take advantage of each other's strengths, he said that the Ministry of Commerce would cooperate with related ministries to maintain providing favorable environment for enterprises' cooperation to greatly promote the cooperation of timber processing in Russia. Assistant Minister Chen Jian took part in the Meeting and gave a speech of summarization, he hoped that entrepreneurs could seize good chances in the process of developing China-Russia trade and economic relations and implementing strategy of "Going Global" to actively seek for effective channels and modes to promote sustainable development of China-Russia Cooperation in Forest Industry.

　　More than 160 representatives from local administrative departments of commerce, central enterprises, local enterprises and relative chambers of commerce and associations took part in the Meeting.
