During the process of his investigation, he never had blind faith in the conclusions from books. He found quite a lot of unreliable records in former research achievements about geography. In order to have a real and accurate investigation, he rarely took a ride or a boat but depended on his own feet to tramp over mountains and experienced a long and arduous journey; In order to make sense of the truth of nature, he always chose dangerous mountains and unfrequented forests to explore, making him discover numerous spectacular and magnificent landscapes; He often chose different time and seasons to travel the famous mountains and observed the changeable and wonderful view over and over again.
