教学案例——On the farm
2002年秋,中山市正式启动了国家基础教育课程改革实验。目前,这一课改实验已在各镇区如火如荼地进行着。作为国家课改省级实验区的广大教师应身体力行,在课改的学习和实践中树立新思想、新理念,在日常的教学工作中大胆改革,锐意创新。可以根据实际突破教材,重新设计教材。正是本着这一教学理念,我在教授《Primary English for Zhongshan》(book 3)Lesson 14(The 1stperiod)时,结合本课时教学内容,设计了题为On the farm的新授口语课。
课题:On the farm
课型:新授口语课
教学目标:
1.Cognitive objectives:
To Learn how to express what sb. can see on some places.
2.Emotional objective:
Arouse the Ss’ interests in learning English and the confidence of communicating with others.
3.Intellectual objectives:
To improve Ss’ abilities of communication, observation and their sprits of cooperation.
教学重点:
1.The new words: farm, cow, horse, sheep
2.The sentence patterns:
What can you see on the farm?
What color are they?
教学难点:
1. To identify “is” and “are”.
2.To learn to use the sentences to communicate with others freely.
课前准备:
1.教具:Pictures, toys ,number cards, color cards, tape, etc.
2.学具:学生自带若干动物玩具或图片。
3.板书:Lesson Fourteen
教学过程:
Step 1. Organization.
Greetings.
Sing a song.
(通过亲切的师生情感交流和歌曲演唱,营造了轻松愉快的课堂气氛,使学生能很快进入良好的学习状态。)
Step 2. Revision.
Revise some words of animals.(eg. dog, cat, bird, chicken ,tiger,
monkey, etc.)
放录音,依此出现几种动物的叫声。当出现狗的叫声时,让学生猜:What’s this animal?/Is this a dog?…依此类推。通过玩听音辨物游戏,进一步巩固所学的有关动物的单词。
Revise the numbers from 1 to 16.
1)Sing a song “Ten Little Indian Boys”.(复习数字1-10)
2)Play a game.(Pick apples)
师在黑板上画一棵大树,上面贴有16张写有1-16的苹果造型的卡片。分别叫8个学生上来,听教师读数字“摘苹果”,以此达到复习数字的目的。
3.Revise the colors.
师在黑板上贴几张颜色卡片,每组叫1个学生上来。当师任意说出某一颜色单词时,哪位学生最快拍出该张卡片,则表示该组赢。通过玩
游戏,复习一年级学过的几种单词。(爱玩是孩子的天性。我在复习环节设计了上述三种游戏,使孩子们在轻松愉快的课堂气氛中边玩边复习所学内容,收到了事半功倍之效。)
Step 3. Presentation and practice.
看图学单词和词组。
T:(出示课文插图)Look, what’s this place?自然而然地引出了新单词farm。师板书并教读此单词及词组on the farm,并指着图上动物问:What’s this/that in English? What color are they?教学cow, horse ,sheep等新单词及词组black and white.
看图学句型。
T:(指着插图) Hello ,boys and girls. Can you see a farm in the picture?
S: Yes.
T: What can you see on the farm? (板书并带读)
S1:I can see two cows.(提醒生注意复数的用法,并注意读准尾音/z/)
T: What color are they? (板书,带读)
S1: Black and white.(师帮助生说出完整句:They are black and white.)
生看板书跟师或录音机读数次后,打开课本齐读。
通过分别出示画有一头牛及两头牛的图片或玩具,进行师生问答:What can you see? What color is it/are they?使生能区别单、复数“ ”和“are”的用法及作出正确回答。
做替换练习,巩固所学内容。
T:(出示on the farm的挂图)Look at the picture. It’s a farm. There are many animals on the farm. What can you see on the farm?
S1:I can see a pig.
T: What color is it ?
S1: It’s pink.
T: What about you, Mary?
S2: I can see three chickens.
T: What color are they ?
S2: They are yellow.
师与两生就单、复数示范问答后,进行 pairwork,之后抽查几对生问答。
6. Play a game(Remember game )
采取小组竞赛形式,将挂图收起,问生:What can you see on the farm? What color is it/are they ?能正确说出答案者,奖励该组。
7.Describe the picture.
T: Let’s talk about the picture.
eg. I can see a dog. It’s black.
I can see three chickens. They are yellow.
8.拓展性练习。
T: What can you see in your classroom ?
S1: I can see a blackboard.
T: What color is it ?
S1: It’s black.
S2: I can see two doors.
T: What color are they ?
S2: They are yellow.
……
(在学生能自如运用所学句型进行问答后,我根据教学内容巧妙地设计了学生的语言活动,让学生仔细观察所处环境,用进行交际性会话。帮助学生将所学的书本知识灵活运用到现实生活中去。充分拓展了学生的思维能力,调动了学生的各种智力因素和非智力因素,使学生的学习热情更为高涨,口语表达能力也相应得到了较大提高。)
Step 4. Summary.
(在学生熟练掌握了本课句型的内容后,我再通过板书将所学内容做一小结,进一步加深学生的记忆。)
Step 5. Homework
Listen to the tape and read Part A twice, then try to recite the sentences.
Tell your classmates(friends, families, etc.)what you can see at the zoo(in your classroom, school, family, etc.)
(此环节体现了英语教学的最终目标,即让生能运用所学的知识进行交际。我通过给生提供真实的任务让他们去完成,培养学生综合运用英语的能力,促使知识向能力的转换,同时也让生感到学有所用,并能从中体会到学习成功的快乐。)
教学后记:
本课时教学符合小学英语新课标的要求,较好地体现了课程改革的新理念。教学形式多样,设计的多种游戏趣味性强,能极大调动学生的学习热情。此外,本课采用了以活动式教学法为主的教学模式,开展了以师为主导,以生为主体的师生双边活动,培养了学生的合作精神和创新意识。综观全课,各个教学环节层次分明、环环相扣,教师教得舒心,学生学得开心,取得了良好的教学效果。
