《Unit one Culture Relics》教学设计【中公】中学教师资格证面试题库

Good morning, everyone ! I am the second competitor. It s a great honor for me to stand here to share my teaching design with you.Today, my topic is Culture Relics in Unit one of senior high school. My lesson consists of the following parts: the analysis of the teaching material and students, teaching procedures and so on.

Firstly, I d like to talk something about my teaching content. This lesson is from Unit one, reading part. The main topic is the culture relics, after learning this lesson, students can learn more about the history and their reading ability will be improved.

Secondly, It s about students. Students in senior one have learned English for many years, they ve already been familiar with some words , sentences. But they can not use reading skills very well, so through this learning, they are able to master reading skills like skimming and scanning to deal with some problems.

Based on the analyses above, I set the teaching aims as follows:

Knowledge aims: Students know the history of the Amber room.

Students know some new words like valuable and so on.

Ability aim: students reading ability will be improved at the end of the class.

Emotional aim: through this lesson, students will have more confidence of speaking English in front of the public.

According to the teaching aims, the key point is to grasp the general idea of the passage; the difficult point is to improve students reading and comprehending ability.

To help students learn better, I ll mainly use task-based method and communicative approach as my teaching method.

Next, let s focus on the most important part, teaching procedures. It includes the following parts: warming-up, pre-reading, while-reading, post-reading, summary homework.

The first step is warming-up, I d like to give my students a free talk, the question is: what do you know about culture relics? It s good for students to share studying resources and to have a sharper brain for this lesson. Next, it is pre-reading part, I ll show them a word Amber on the blackboard and ask them a question What do you think about this word? They may answer it s a kind of jewelry and it s very beautiful , then I ll keep asking could you imagine a room made of amber? In this way, students interest of study will be fostered. Then, it is while-reading part. Firstly, I ll ask them to read the whole passage quickly in five minutes, and find out the general idea of the text. Then, I ll ask some students to share their answer with us, that is the development of the Amber Room in history. Next, I ll move to the detailed reading.I will let them read the passage very carefully and grasp some detailed information of the passage. They may have to finish practice 3 on page 3 in ten minutes. When the time is up, I ll invite some students to share their answers.By this, students can have a deeper understanding of the teaching material. During the reading, they may have difficulty in understanding some new words, so I ll explain the meaning and the usage of these words after the reading. Now ,it should be post-reading.Students are asked to read the whole passage again and make a brief retelling of the whole passage according to the massage on the blackboard. When they finished, I ll ask two or three students to come in front of the class to retell the whole passage, in this way, their confidence of speaking English will be practiced and their understanding of the passage will be deepened.By the end of class, it should be summary and homework part. I ll ask students to have a summary of the lesson today and at the same time, after class,they should compose an essay about their favorite culture relics.

Lastly, I d like to analyse my blackboard design. This is my blackboard design, it is very clear and logical, you can see everything we ve learnt today.
