2)构成模式：

(3)(单词状语)+及物动词+宾语+宾语补足语(+短语状语)。
(It’s unlikely) to make her monitor this time. 动短作(真实)主语。
(The man) teaching us to drive (works for the city government). 动短作the man的定语。
(4)(单词状语)+不及物动词(+短语状语)。
( His wish was) to have a car and a house. 动短作表语。

5.介宾短语：
1)概念和功能：由介词加上名词短语或代词或数词构成的一组词叫介词短语。介词后面的名词短语或代词也称为介词的宾语。少数副词可添在介宾短语前作修饰性的状语。介词和宾语都是必要成分。介宾短语功能类似于形容词和副词短语，可作表语、定语、状语和宾语补足语。
2)构成模式：(副词状语)+介词+名词短语宾语或代词宾语或数词宾语。如：
(1)She is over forty. 介宾短语over forty作表语。
(2)The worldwide economic recession will last well into 2009. 介宾短语作last的时间状语。
(3)Regardless of my approval of Tom， she wouldn’t talk to him. 介宾短语作wouldn’t talk to him的让步状语。
(4)The river beyond the mountain provides a good place for us to enjoy ourselves. 介宾短语作the river的定语。
(5)Leave the girls in the dark room.介宾短语作宾语补足语。
